Ahoy there.....

Our brief was to create a pirate ship for a young family. With the designer we hatched a plan, to source a yacht and repurpose it. Challenge accepted. We sourced a tired 1970's Dutch river yacht and on an airfield, over a period of 6 weeks, we sympathetically restored it to its former beauty. The interior was painstakingly restored, new fittings were sourced from marine salvors and fitted, and then it was dressed with nautical antiques.

There was a tea service from a 1920's liner, a 70 year old officer's telescope, charts, flare boxes, even a de-activated flare gun. The children now had somewhere to entertain their guests, have sleep overs and fight off marauders. The following year we returned and installed their very own 'Go-Ape' style aerial assault course as well.
